Tansar One Year On
Tuesday 21st March 2017
Well it’s certainly been an exhausting 12 months, but perversely a hugely energising one. I don’t say much on public forums and hopefully (to quote many that know me, especially those in Compliance) I never will, but sometimes you do have to take stock and appreciate the efforts of all those who have been involved in getting you to where you are.
It is right to thank people for what they have done, so please allow me that opportunity now. I’ll try not to go in to ‘Oscar acceptance’ mode, but hopefully I’ll at least thank the correct people!!
First and foremost, our team, the effort, the ongoing sacrifices, both financial and physical that they make are truly humbling and the embodiment of who we are trying to be as a business and as people.
I will now devote the next part of my rambling to some of those that have put us where we are:
Broker Partners – You had faith in our vision and the support you have given us (and the feedback about having a partner that you can talk to and work alongside) has been truly uplifting and helped justify our reasons for the opportunity and timing.
Cover.Net – Our system provider who have managed to deliver portals for all of our classes of business as well as the usual back office functionality in double quick time.
Gefion – Our first insurer partner and for their support throughout the year and beyond. A solid insurer partner with a very strong partnership with A and A+ rated reinsurers to support them.
Lockton – For arranging our partnership with Gefion and the supporting reinsurances, but also for support above and beyond those transactions from the start.
Market Professionals – So many have advised and supported us from the moment the idea was conceived. This has been truly uplifting because as you all know, ours is an industry where the first reaction is to kick the opposition rather than focus on what they can give you.
Prestige – They have supported us through AR status, claims handling, managed services and MI and it is fair to say that without this partnership it would have been impossible to get this firm off the ground in the time that we did.
Software Houses – They have treated us as individuals throughout and have delivered everything we asked of them.
Synectics Solutions – They have helped us introduce SIRA and considered our individual circumstances throughout, giving us a further protection against those that would try and do the pool harm.
So, what is next for us, well we now have our Fleet portal live, our Household portal will be live by the end of March and we are currently working on our A&H and Group Business Travel propositions. We always set out to be multi-line and we are now delivering on that desire, adding value to our relationships.
For me personally it has been a fascinating journey and experience. Would I recommend it, well if you can tap in to half the talent and good will that we have then by all means give it a go and I tell you what, we’ll even help if we can.
